Andres Gantous, MD, FRCSC, FACS, attended Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, and received his medical degree in 1984. Then, he served a six-year surgical training program in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, respectively the University of Toronto. In addition, he completed his fellowship training in cranio-facial surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. In addition, Dr. Gantous received board certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (facial plastic and reconstructive surgery) and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (head and neck surgery). A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Andres Gantous, MD, FRCSC, FACS, is a believer in strong mental and physical health. He personally enjoys painting, drawing, and doing martial arts when not in surgery. He is an avid reader and is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and French and dabbles in a few other languages. He enjoys spending time with his three adult children, family, and friends.
